Earlier today, film production company Luv Films co-founded by the immensely talented filmmaker Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, has announced the release date of the eagerly anticipated film featuring Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor and ‘Stree’ actress Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. The makers have set a release date of 26th January 2023 for the yet-untitled romantic comedy film.
The film will be directed by Luv Ranjan, whose earlier directorial credits include the cult romantic comedy ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and its sequel, ‘Akaash Vaani’, and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’. The film would mark Luv Ranjan’s first creative collaboration with both Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
Moreover, in another first, Luv Ranjan’s film will also mark the acting debut of eminent film producer and Anil Kapoor’s elder brother Boney Kapoor, who has produced some acclaimed films such as Mr. India, Company, Wanted, and Mom. His forthcoming film projects (as a producer) include Ajay Devgn’s sports film ‘Maidaan’ and the Ajith Kumar starrer action thriller ‘Valimai’.
The film also features Dimple Kapadia in an important role. Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia would ostensibly essay the roles of Ranbir Kapoor’s father and mother in the rom-com movie. The last shooting schedule for the film is reportedly being held in Delhi.
Besides Luv Ranjan’s film, Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming acting projects include three highly anticipated films namely Ayan Mukherjee’s big-ticket superhero venture ‘Brahmastra’ co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt, Karan Malhotra’s period actioner ‘Shamshera’, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s gangster drama titled ‘Animal’.
