Maha Samudram releases on Netflix in both Telugu and Tamil. The film is directed by Ajay Bhupati who debuted as a director in RX100. Although RX100 was a highly entertaining film, the same was not said for Maha Samudram. Originally made in Telugu, Maha Samudram stars Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anu Emmanuel, Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh, and Ramachandra Raju.
It was scheduled to release the film in August 2021 but due to COVID-19 restrictions, the film saw its release on 14th October. After a month now, this film is finally getting released on Netflix. It is a story about three friends Arjun, Vijay and Mahalakshmi. Mahalakshmi aka Maha is Vijay’s girlfriend. Vijay is a man who doesn’t believe in controlling his life. He goes with the flow and lets life decide what is right for him. On the contrary, Arjun is an ambitious person who doesn’t hesitate in taking illicit routes if it is earning him a decent sum of money. Maha is a happy going girl who earns bread for her family.
Things turn upside down after an encounter with Gangster Dhananjay. This changes the fate of the three friends but quite obviously they meet in the film again. So this is a typical romantic action drama with not so great story but targets a niche audience. If you find yourself to fall into the category of that niche audience then you may want to watch the film. Since it is already released on Netflix so you may want to try that out.
