Marvel’s “Secret Invasion” Gets A Unique & Delicious Working Title

Marvel continuously is at work at the moment and it is clearly visible with all the series releasing, movie updates, shoots and everything that is going on. One of those is Marvel’s miniseries “Secret Invasion”, which is inspired by the Marvel comic of the same name. Secret Invasion has been in the news for quite some time now and it looks to be in the spotlight once again for its working title.

Rumor has it that Secret Invasion, now kind of, has a working title and it’s one of the most unique working titles out there. The series at the moment is being named “Jambalaya”. Yup, that’s right, Jambalaya the Creole food dish. Well, if you are not aware, Jambalaya is a very famous dish that is influenced by the cultures of West Africa, French and Spain. The dish is extremely famous but to have it as the working title for a Marvel series is a whole different thing.

Many are claiming that since the characters in the comics somewhat came together from different cultures and Jambalaya too is something that is a mix of culture, the makers might have found some similarities in it. Also, just to tell everyone, “working titles” or “tentative titles” are given to projects that need to be completed with some secrecy intact, so that spoilers don’t leak out. Many filmmakers give their creations such titles so that it is not predictable for the outside world.

Apparently, it is a major trend in Marvel to give the projects a working title, so that spoilers can be contained before everything starts. In fact, one of the most recent ones to come in was “Summer Break”, which was the working title for Black Panther’s sequel “Wakanda Forever”. So before coming to a cooler title, Marvel comes up with these unique ones for their projects.

There are even more such names attached to Marvel projects like Blue Bayou for “Black Widow”, Dragonboat for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, Stellar Vortex for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. Besides Jambalaya, Marvel has also named a few of their projects with food like Sack Lunch for “Eternals” and The Big Salad for “Thor: Love and Thunder”.

As for the miniseries itself, the plot of it is kept under wraps at the moment but one thing is for sure, it will explore more of Skrulls and Nick Fury’s relationship. Both of them have been seen having a history in the MCU. The Secret Invasion, will likely look into an invasion by the shape-shifting alien race as they take over the earth. The shoot for it is supposed to start this fall and will extensively be shot in the UK as well as parts of Europe. Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Christopher McDonald are set to star in the series, which will be directed by Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim.
