After a brilliant cliffhanger of an ending in the previous episode of ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’, many of us couldn’t wait for the next episode to drop and see the aftermath of what John Walker left us with. But Marvel had other plans, with a mid-season sneak peek releasing, just hours ago. And in this 85 second video, we think we got a glimpse at what we have been waiting for – John Walker vs. Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson. Check out this sneak peek at the end of this article.
Most of the promotional video takes a lot of scenes from the last trailer of The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’, with a few new additional sequences. The trailer starts off with a small recap, with the old argument between Bucky and Sam about Steve’s old Shield being the forefront for the first ten seconds. This is followed by a quick recap of most of the prominent scenes from the last four episodes, giving us a glimpse of all the main characters from the show such as Baron Zemo, Agent Carter and Ayo among the previously mentioned names. Just past the midpoint, we get another look at the cliffhanger ending of episode 4.
But there are two main scenes in this mid-season promo video that will be the turning points on this show. The first sequence, we think, is Sam talking to Karli Morgenthau. Although Karli is not shown as part of the conversation, Sam’s line of wanting to follow in the previous Captain’s footsteps and fight for his country sounds like something he would say to Karli to make her understand his choice. The second main scene is the one we have all been waiting for, and the one we think will occur at the beginning of the next episode itself. After John did what he did at the end of the previous episode, Bucky is now more than convinced that the Shield does not belong in John’s hands. Although Sam might agree with that sentiment, he is still not ready to fight with John to take the Shield from him (that’s what his face says anyway).
This will be a good showdown between the three of them. We know Sam ends up with Shield, because of the previous trailers and the sneak peek video. For now we will just have to wait and see how Sam and Bucky will deal with John and Karli. Also, who is this mysterious Powerbroker? Maybe, we might get a glimpse of Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Slattery who will be acting as his proxy. That would be a fun cameo. Also don’t forget about the Season 5 cameo.
