Adiyae is a sci-fi romance film, written and directed by Vignesh Karthick. It is a film that centres on the characters and their lives in alternate universes. Starring G. V. Prakash Kumar, Gouri G. Kishan and Venkat Prabhu.
2. Tumse Na Ho Payega – Hindi, 29th September, Disney Plus Hotstar
stars Ishwak Singh, Mahima Makwana, Gaurav Pandey, Gurpreet Saini and Karan Jotwani in the lead rolewritten by Nitesh Tiwari,directed by Abhishek Sinha
3. King of Kotha – Malayalam, 29th September, Disney Plus Hotstar
King Of Kotha is an action drama and vigilante film, which stars Dulquer Salmaan in the titular role, along with Shabeer Kallarakkal, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sudhi Koppa, Nyla Usha and Shanthi Krishna. Directed by Abhilash Joshiy.
4. Agent – Telugu, 29th September, SonyLIV
Agent is a spy thriller, starring Akhil Akkineni as an aspiring R.A.W. agent. Mammootty plays Devil, the chief of the Research And Analysis Wing, while Dino Morea plays primary antagonist, God. Directed by Surender Reddy.
5. Dochevaarevarura – Telugu, 29th September, Aha Video
Siddhu and a kid run a ‘good Samaritan’ con: one steals something and the other returns it to the owners, hoping for a reward. They meet a beautiful girl named Lakshmi, but when they try to help her, all of them land in trouble. Starring Ajay Ghosh, Tanikella Bharani, Malavika Satheesan
6. Ennivar – Malayalam, 29th September, Saina Play
Multiple award-winning film about 4 students caught in a personal rivalry that becomes becomes political, forcing them to abscond in a remote house amidst the mountains. Starring Sarjano Khalid, Sooraj S Kurup, Binu Pappu and Sudheesh. Directed by Sidhartha Siva.
7. Dirty Hari – Tamil, 29th September, Aha Tamil
Dirty Hari is an erotic thriller about a young man Hari, who is engaged in an illicit affair with an aspiring actress named Jasmine, even as he is married to Vasudha. Starring Shravan Reddy, Ruhani Sharma and Simrat Kaur, written and directed by M. S. Raju.
8. Angshuman MBA – Bengali, 29th September, ZEE5
Angshuman MBA is a rom-com that centers on Angshuman, an MBA graduate, who starts a break-up consultancy with his best friend. Trouble arises when he himself falls in love with a girl named Labonyo, who believes in old-school romance. Starring Soham Chakraborty and Koushani Mukherjee. Directed by Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha.
9. I Killed Bapu – Hindi, 29th September, ZEE5
One Father of the Nation, and One man against him! Here is the untold story behind the incident that shook the entire nation. Starring Sameer Deshpande, Rajesh Khatri, Mukesh Kapani, Akshay Verma, Nagesh Mishra.
10. Kushi – Telugu, Netflix, 1st October
Kushi is a romantic drama that recounts the love story between an army officer and a Kashmiri girl amidst the strife of Jammu and Kashmir. Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha, written and directed by Shiva Nirvana.
11. Bebaak – Hindi, 1st October, jio Cinema
Bebaak is an acclaimed short film, centred on the true story of a young woman who was publicly reprimanded for being a woman at a scholarship interview by a religious leader. Starring Sana Pathan, Sheeba Chaddha, Sarah Hashmi, Vipin Sharma, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, written and directed by Shazia Iqbal.
12. Harkara – Tamil, 1st October, Prime Video, Aha Tamil
Harkara is a moving drama that documents the story of India’s first postman. Directed by and also starring Ram Arun Castro.
13. Khufiya – Hindi, 5th October, Netflix
Khufiya is a spy drama, centred on an operative of R&AW, who is assigned to track down a mole who is selling defense secrets while grappling with her dual identity as a spy and a lover. Starring Tabu, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashish Vidyarthi, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
14. Gadar 2 – Hindi, 6th October, ZEE5
Gadar 2 centres on Tara Singh’s endeavour to bring back his son Jeet from Pakistani forces. Starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma. Directed by Anil Sharma.
15. The Great Indian Suicide – Telugu, 6th October, Aha Video
The Great Indian Suicide is a psychological thriller, centred on Chitra, whose family decides to commit mass suicide in the hope that it will help to bring Chitra’s dead father back to life. Starring Hebah Patel, Ram Karthik, Naresh, Pavithra Lokesh, Jayaprakash. Written and directed by Viplove Koneti.
16. Mr Pregnant – Telugu, 6th October, Aha Video and Prime Video
Mr Pregnant centres on Gautham, married to Mahi, who bravely chooses to carry her child and becomes pregnant. However, it prompts social backlash and family responses that they both need to confront. Starring Syed Sohel, Roopa Koduvayur, Suhasini Manirathnam, Raja Ravindra. Directed by Srinivas Vinjanampati.
