SonyLIV has now announced a massive slate of 35 new series on their platform. Out of which they have announced the name of 21 titles. The streaming giant will be making around half of them in Hindi and the rest in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali too.
They did not host a big event like Prime Video did last year. But at the end of the day, it is the content that ultimately matters, not anything else.
So let’s tell you all those new series that SonyLIV will be coming up with soon.
Tamil Slate
Journey
The Madras Murder
Journey will be led by R. Sarathkumar and Cheran Pandian. Also, the latter will be set in the Tamil film industry of the 1950-the 60s.
Telugu Slate
Brinda
Kanyasulkam
Degree Days
Bench
Indraprastham
Brinda will be led by Telugu superstar Trisha Krishnan. Also, Kanyasulkam will be based on an important 1892 play.
Degree Days will be directed by Anurag and Sharath from the YouTube channel Chai Bisket. Bench will be a corporate drama while Indraprastham will be a drama created by Deva Katta.
Malayalam Slate
Jai Mahendran
Blindfold
Jai Mahendran will be created by Rahul Riji Nair while Blindfold will be a thriller.
Marathi Slate
Shantit-Kranti Season 2
Lampan
Both of them are coming of age dramas where Lampan is created by Nipun Dharmadhikari while Shantit-Kranti is by Sarang Sathye and Paula McGlynn.

Chamak will be a musical created by Rohit Jugraj. Garmi is created by Gangs Of Wasseypur fame Tigmanshu Dhulia.
Jengaburu from Nila Madhab will be about a mining scam.
Scam 3 as you may know is by Hansal Mehta while Nikkhil Advani is creating Freedom At Midnight.
“Charlie Chopra and the Murder at the Solang Valley” is by the revered filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj while Sudhir Mishra is developing “Children Of Freedom”. “Jazz City” on the other hand is by Rahul Dholakia.
SonyLIV head of content Saugat Mukherjee stated, “We want to tell very deeply-rooted Indian stories, which is why you see that we are sticking to original Indian stories – our histories, our cultures, our traditions, our languages.”
Also, there are plans for documentaries and the Bangla series but the plan didn’t announce them. Stay tuned to Binged for all updates.
