Nandamuri Balakrishna is making his OTT debut with Unstoppable, a celebrity talk show that will be made available for streaming exclusively on Aha Video. Now, another senior Telugu actor seems to be following Balakrishna and joining the OTT bandwagon. Reportedly, senior actor Mohan Babu is ready to join hands with Aha Video for an OTT assignment.
It is heard that Mohan Babu is set to either host a celebrity talk show on Aha Video or act in a web series that will be funded by the Telugu-only OTT platform. Aha thinktank is said to be designing a proper OTT launchpad for Mohan Babu’s OTT debut. The final call on whether to cast him for a web series or launch him as a talk show host will be taken shortly.
Mohan Babu’s daughter, Manchi Lakshmi is hosting a cookery show on Aha Video ‘Aha Bhojanambu’. She is said to be very much eager to orchestrate her father’s OTT debut. Aha management too liked the prospect and went ahead.
On a related note, Mohan Babu is touted to be the first guest on Balakrisna’s Unstoppable. He will be taking the guest seat along with his kinds, Lakshmi, Vishnu, and Manoj.
It appears to be that Mohan Babu will be the latest addition to the list of Tollywood veterans who are venturing into OTT. Daggubati Venkatesh had already announced a Netflix original web series, in which he will be featuring alongside Rana Daggubati. Nagarjuna too is lining up a few OTT projects. While he will be producing a handful of them, the chances are high that he might also star in a web film or series. Balakrishna is set for OTT debut with Unstoppable. Mohan Babu is likely to be the new entrant in the list.
