Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman is going to skip its theatrical release and stream online directly. The movie’s Telugu dubbing version is titled Ammoru Thalli. Mookuthi Amman and Ammoru Thalli will be out on November 14th (Diwali Special).
Director of the film, RJ Balaji in an interview went on to say that Mookuthi Amman is about this family that is led by a woman, which is in great difficulty, and how the family goddess helps them vanquish the villain. He also revealed researching a lot in the film. “I watched films and documentaries, read books, went to government offices… and then wrote the film. We shot this film across 44 locations in 50 days,” he said.
Mookuthi Amman will also have a simultaneous release in Telugu, thanks to Nayanthara’s popularity in both the Telugu States. The film is titled Ammoru Thalli in Telugu. Mookuthi Amman is the second prominent Tamil film releasing online in November after Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru. Given that Soorarai Pottru has emerged as a huge hit, the Tamil film industry will hope to register another blockbuster this month with Mookuthi Amman. Just like Soorarai Pottru, the movie has a chance to impress the Telugu and Tamil audience at a time which will be double beneficial for the OTT platform.
