Mubi India has tweeted about the free viewing of the movie ‘Kantara‘ but something is wrong with the tweet. The post says that audiences will be able to watch the movie ‘Kantara’ for free with Mubi GO. When actually they mean that the movie will be available for audiences who will subscribe to their annual plan of 2500 rupees.
Rishab Shetty's box-office-breaking thriller continues to sweep audiences off their feet. This festive weekend, watch KANTARA for free, only with MUBI GO.

Mubi has done nothing spectacular or significant and has not produced any good and original web content in India. It only has unpopular western web series and movies and they are doing practically nothing except for being a part of an Amazon Prime extension.
The clickbait tweet says that the huge Kannada hit Kantara will be available for free with Mubi GO. But it does not mention the necessity of purchasing a yearly plan of Mubi. This is clearly exploiting the fans of the films. It will be disheartening for them to know that the ‘Free’ ticket actually comes with a subscription.
Kantara has won the hearts of audiences as well as of the critics. There is no doubt that it can be called one of the few masterpieces India has released this year. There are still lots of people going to the theatres to watch the movie for the first, second or umpteenth time. The platform’s exploiting this emotion is not at all commendable. Kantara has become a phenomena all over India, and if a platform has to make profits using its name, it better be ethical. Misleading fans with clickbait posts will not do the job.
