Amazon Prime Video has announced the release date for Naga Chaitanya’s action thriller ‘Custody’. The film will premiere on the 9th of June.
The film is written by Venkat Prabhu and Abburi Ravi and directed by Venkat Prabhu. It is a political action thriller film telling the story of a police officer. The film was shot in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. It was produced by Srinivasa Chitturi under Srinivasa Silver Screen and Anji Industries.
Apart from Naga Chaitanya, the cast includes actors like Krithi Shetty, Arvind Swamy, Priyamani, R. Sarathkumar and Sampath Raj. Krithi Shetty plays the love interest of the protagonist. ‘Custody’ tells the story of a constable named Siva who has been given the task of escorting a witness from police custody to the court. But he gets to learn that the police department does not want him alive. This is Venkat Prabhu’s debut feature in Telugu.
Custody had its theatrical release on the 12th of May this year and received mixed reviews. The film was a failure at the box office. The cinematography of the film is handled by S. R. Kathir and the background music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The beautiful songs of the film are created by Yuvan Shankar and the maestro Ilaiyaraaja.
If you are a fan of Naga Chaitanya Akkineni, you may watch this film on Prime Video when it releases on June 9. The film did not get too many positive reviews but it can be good for a one time watch.
