Netflix is working on its content slate now. They are not simply running behind terribly written shows and bagging streaming rights but also working on the content they offer.
Thus, Netflix India has officially announced documentaries and reality shows which will be released on their platform subsequently.
We all know that Indian Predator: The Butcher Of Delhi is a really eerie show which gets the job done and thankfully, Netflix will continue the “Indian Predator” series with original crime documentaries.
Regardless, some titles are promising while some are not. So overall it balances but the slate is exciting nonetheless.
. Indian Matchmaking Season 2
. IRL: In Real Love
. Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale
. Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2
. Social Currency
. Mumbai Mafia: Police Vs The Underworld
. Indian Predator: Diary Of A Serial Killer
In these seven titles, Nayanthara Beyond The Fairy Tale is different as it is a special feature. The others are proper to show which needs to be discussed separately.
Indian Matchmaking and the horror it unleashes on its viewers is something we all know. But still, only two titles among them appear to be promising.
It is Mumbai Mafia: Police Vs The Underworld and Indian Predator which saves the slate from becoming a cringe machine.
Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2 is also mental torture in which four ladies are seen living an extravagant life solely because their husbands have money to do so.
There are immense social problems in the show as it represents women as just woke card swipers.
IRL and Social Currency are hosted by Ranvijay Singha and Sunny Leone respectively. They worked together in MTV’s Splitsvilla and the shows look like a cheap copy of the same.
It is a dating show which might be interesting for some but a majority of people hardly bother about them.
So, although the new Netflix slate is exciting, it is filled with a lot of turn-offs. But this slate is going to help Netflix make a better grip amongst gen Z and the lovers of crime documentaries.
