Baahubali Tv series on Netflix was announced in 2017. Baahubali duology is perhaps the biggest film India ever produced in the 21st century.
As the name suggests, the series would have been a prequel to the film that would talk about Queen Shivagami. The makers even casted Mrunal Thakur for the role.
The series was even shot for 6 months in the magnificent sets that cost over 150 crores to the makers. It could have been India’s answer to Game Of Thrones but sadly all the expectations are now shattered.
A few days back Reed Hastings made a statement about how frustrating Netflix‘s instability in India is.
But the point is, even after being the most expensive platform, we are hardly getting anything grand from the streamer in India.
If Netflix wanted to make this as grand as GOT then writers, directors and all the crew need time, patience and budget for making it spectacular and memorable.
A source who was intimately involved in the making of the series revealed that Netflix simply rushed to shoot the series without proper preparations.
This hasty and reckless approach of Netflix has successfully killed what could have been India’s greatest show.
Regardless, we should now get over the Baahubali: Before The Beginning web series because those who are responsible for making big budget grand series have simply no remorse. They arose our expectations and now we know the result.
