Army Of The Dead has got off to a smashing debut on streaming giant, Netflix. Though critics aren’t exactly raving about the film, viewers are lapping up the audacious zombies and heist film, its stunning VFX and its mind-blowing action sequences. Which is why, Army Of The Dead has racked up stupendous numbers on Netflix. The streamer’s sophisticated algorithms have projected that Zack Snyder’s zombie thriller is on track to mop up 72 Million views in its first 28 days of streaming.
But what do you know! Even after all the hype and hoopla, Army Of The Dead comes in only on the tenth spot on the list of the Top Ten biggest Netflix Original Films to debut on its platform. Chris Hemsworth’s mega entertainer ‘Extraction’ still holds pride of place with 99 million views.
Netflix had last updated the list last in October 2020, after which, it has updated it now, seven months later, in May 2021.
Here is the new list of Netflix’s top 10 biggest openings, updated in May 2021 –
1. Extraction – 99 Million views
2. Bird Box – 89 Million views
3. Spenser Confidential – 85 Million views
