The Girl on the Train is set to be the Indian adaptation of the much-acclaimed Hollywood Film of the same name. it stars some prominent names like Aditi Rao Hydari, Parineeti Chopra, and Kirti Kulhari in lead roles under the direction of Ribhu Dasgupta.
This title is an official remake of the Hollywood film which was based on Paula Hawkins’s 2015 best seller ‘The Girl on the Train’. The first look or the trailer of the title is intense as Parineeti Chopra is seen roaming around trying to figure out what is happening around her.
Time and again we have discussed how Bollywood has tried to simply copy or recreate stories that have already proven their value ether in the regional or international market. Even though one doesn’t have to spend a lot of time trying to create a buzz or get people interested in it there are instances when it crumbles under the pressure of its own weight.
‘The Girl on the Train’ is a disturbing psychological thriller that gained a lot of appreciation over time and living under its shadow will not be an easy thing. The Indian adaptation of ‘The Girl on the Train’ was set to go on cinema floors on 8th May 2020 but the pandemic forced many titles to think about different options.
Parineeti Chopra has proven her mettle and versatility over time but this is the first time where we will see her in such a dark shade and the audiences are excited about it.
The Girl on the Train will premiere on Netflix on 26th February.
