Everybody was taken away by the engaging storyline and mind-bending twists that took place in Dark which made us question reality as we know it. Netflix’s latest venture Equinox seems to be running along the same lines, and fans from around the world are excited about it.
Quite a few people have questioned the possibility of more than one reality existing, and it has also been a hot topic for debate throughout the ages. The appreciation for such storylines can be viewed in the runaway success of the dark series, and it looks like Netflix is further building on it with a new danish series ‘equinox’.
Equinox is the story of a radio jockey who one day receives a mysterious call, and the caller claims that he knows about the disappearance of the RJ’s sister. What ensues is a twist of events that bend the perception of reality for the characters that are involved in the storyline (huh, where have we seen a premise like that before?)
While one scene in the teaser where the main lead played by Danica Curcic is in a forest is deeply reminiscent of another show (No points for guessing) the teaser does seem to put forward an engaging theme and lines such as ‘What you think is superstition is actually reality.’ are some of the few things that will tug at your curiosity.
Danica Curcic is a powerhouse, and even though the teaser was brief, it was enough to show us her brilliant abilities. It may be too premature to assume any relation to any other show past or present, but when it comes to Netflix, you can’t help but feel that everything is connected. Equinox promises to be the perfect recipe for another engaging thriller.
