Halston is the story of Roy Halston Frowick who was called ‘Halston’. He rose to fame in the 1970s for his elegant fashion sense. He achieved great fame in his limited life span but had to endure a lot of struggles for his orientation and apparent genius.

Halston rose to fame when he designed the pillbox hat which Jacqueline Kennedy wore to the inauguration of her husband John F Kennedy in the 1950s. while still attending ‘School of the Art Institute of Chicago’ Halston had begun his business of making and designing women’s hats.

While he gained a lot of popularity he decided to dive into the women’s clothing line and after some bad business decisions, was forced to lose control of his fashion house. He died of AIDS-related cancer in 1990 at the young age of 57
Halston will premiere on Netflix on 14th May.
