Tovino Thomas‘s upcoming direct-to-OTT releasing feature film, ‘Minnal Murali‘, has just dropped yet another lyrical song video, ‘Kugramame’, on the YouTube channel, Muzik247. This is the third ‘Minnal Murali’ song to drop in a month, after ‘Thee Minnal’ and ‘Uyire’. While the first song was hype-inducing (as it should be for a Superhero film), the second was a slow love song that came out of nowhere. This song, however, is different from both. ‘Kugramame‘, at first glance, looks very similar to the first ‘Minnal Murali’ music video, ‘Thee Minnal’. The comic book style strips and the writings are quite similar to the brilliant ‘Thee Minnal’. However, that is where the similarities end. The song has a completely different vibe to both of the previously released ‘Minnal Murali’ songs, with this song focusing on the film’s location – a Kugramam, which roughly translates to a rural village. When you hear the sing, you can hear the difference quite distinctly.
Netflix has been amping up its promotions for its latest original projects. ‘Red Notice’ and ‘Money Heist’ had been dropping promos every day till they finally released and it looks like it is now ‘Minnal Murali’s’ turn. Mollywood’s first superhero film is releasing on Netflix and the mini promos have been gradually increasing during the last month. With this song, we expect more and more promo videos to drop, till the film finally drops on Christmas eve.
‘Minnal Murali’ will premiere on Netflix on December 24th 2021.
