Shashank Khaitan’s next project seems to be going through changes every other day now. Just when things were shaping up, the makers have now decided to change the title of the movie. Earlier titled “Mr. Lele”, the makers have now apparently scrapped the title off. The new title is being kept under wraps for now.
This isn’t the only change that the movie is seeing; buzz was that Bhumi Pednekar was in talks for playing a rather important role in the movie. Now, it has been actually confirmed that Bhumi Pednekar is joining the movie and will also start the shoot for the same pretty soon.
The movie already has the lead stars set with Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani playing the roles opposite each other. Apparently last week saw the beginning of the shoot for the movie with them in Mumbai. The makers have plans to shoot for the movie in various locations but that will only take place, keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic and the safety protocols issued by the government.
As for changes, not only has been the title of the movie changed but the lead actor has also beenreplaced. Yes, Varun Dhawan was first approached with the script and he was quickly on board for the movie. It was when the planning was going on that Dhawan felt this wasn’t the one for him. This is what brings Vicky Kaushal into the picture.
The movie which was being planned since 2019 also had Jahnvi Kapoor on board opposite Varun Dhawan in the beginning, but it was later revealed that even Kapoor didn’t continue on with the project. It is now being said that the role that went to Bhumi Pednekar was actually the one made for Jahnvi Kapoor.
The movie which is touted to be a comedy movie already had its fair share of twists and turns even before it is released. The movie is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is being directed by Shashank Khaitan. The movie has no release dates as of now.
