RRR is the very face of Indian cinema on Netflix. Its success on a global level is something unprecedented. But, now the film has completed its glorious run and is slowing down.
Thus last week, not only did it step from the number one position globally, but fell to the 7th position.
As you can see in the charts, the Spanish thriller “The Wrath Of God” was the most-watched non-English film globally.
From India, the most-streamed title came out to be Mamooty’s CBI 5: The Brain. The thriller drama was in fourth place. It debuted on Netflix last week and was the 10th most-streamed title in its debut week.
Surprisingly, Bhool Bhulaiya 2 is also on the list. It debuted on June 19 itself and secured a place in 5th position.
Regardless, the other Indian film on the list is Shivakarthikeyan’s Don which was the most streamed film in India last week.
The rave reviews of CBI 5: The Brain immensely helped to gain traction as Netflix didn’t really put enough effort into promoting the film just the way it did for Bhool Bhulaiya 2 or let alone RRR.
