Obi-Wan Kenobi, the latest Disney+ series, is making records. The Star Wars series is the latest addition to the epic film series and was released during the Star Wars Celebration Week.
Lucasfilm, owned by Disney, has always been a great help in making streaming records. Earlier this year “The Book Of Boba Fett” garnered an insane response but the dynamics are now changed.
Now, Obi-Wan Kenobi is officially the most-watched Disney+ series globally. Earlier this record from the Star Wars Family was held by The Mandalorian.
However, when it comes to viewership data then no platform is as partial and consistent as Netflix. They release the watch hours too but this is not the case with Disney+.
The official Twitter handle of Star Wars announced that the series has raked maximum views on premier but quite obviously there is no watch hour data or anything for that matter to support the statement.
Given the monopoly of Disney+Hotstar, there must be a lot of contribution from Indian viewers too. Loki held the record of maximum views before Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+ and now all eyes are on Ms Marvel and She-Hulk.
So let’s see what more records Obi-Wan Kenobi creates as currently only two episodes are streaming on the platform.
Thank you to the best fans in the galaxy for making #ObiWanKenobi the most-watched @disneyplus Original series premiere globally to date, based on hours streamed in an opening weekend. pic.twitter.com/bC5WI0kAby
