Tamil language romantic fantasy film ‘Oh My Kadavule‘ written-directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and starring Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh and Vani Bhojan in major roles released at the movies on Valentine’s day 2020. The film featured a spectacularly charming cameo from Vijay Sethupathi and opened to extremely positive reviews. The Kannada language remake of the film titled ‘Lucky Man‘ released at the theatres on 9th September, 2022 to positive reviews for an earnest remake. After approximately a month, the film is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Lucky Man follows the story of two childhood best friends Arjun and Anu as they decide to get married. However, their marital life becomes complicated due to misunderstandings and miscommunications and things take a bigger turn when Arjun gets a blessing from god to reverse the happenings of his life.
Lucky Man is directed by S Nagendra Prasad in his directorial debut. The film stars Krishna, Sangeetha Sringeri, Roshni Prakash, Nagabhushana NS in major roles. Vijay Sethupathi’s role as God in the original is being played by Veteran actor Puneeth Rajkumar in Lucky Man and it is one of his last onscreen appearances. A Telugu remake of Oh My Kadavule is also currently underway. Titled as ‘Ori Devuda’, the film stars Vishwak Sen and Mithila Palkar in lead roles.
