Saiyami Kher who made her film debut with the Telugu film, Rey in 2015 could only do two films in the next three years. After two years gap, the actress only did two films in 2020 and both of them released on OTT – Choked on Netflix and Unpaused on Amazon Prime Video.
She also went on to two more web series – Special OPS (Netflix) and Breathe: Into the Shadows (Amazon Prime Video) in 2020 itself. The actress did a Telugu film, Wild Dog this year which was supposed to be her only theatrical release after 2018. However, it is emerging that the movie is likely to skip its theatrical release and opt for an OTT release. Buzz is that Netflix bagged the Digital Rights and will stream it as Republic Day Special. The official announcement about the same is awaited from Netflix. It will be the first notable Telugu film to skip the theatrical release even after the theaters are opened.
Directed by a newcomer Ahisor Solomon, Nagarjuna will be seen as an encounter specialist, ACP Vijay Varma in the film. It is said to be based on some real-event and is about an encounter that happened on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
