‘Pathan‘s makers are leaving no stone unturned to pack this film as a blockbuster. Leading lady Deepika Padukone is all set to perform some extensive high-octane action sequences for the film and has been training heavily for them. The scenes are being shot in Mumbai itself and we hear Deepika has done some intense preperation for it. Previously too, the actress has kicked some serious butt in sequences in XXX : Return of Xander Cage and even Bollywood film Chandni Chowk to China.
According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in an extensive action sequence to be shot at the Burj Khalifa. The action scenes have been designed by an international stunt team and will be on similar lines as those of Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. The team will reportedly head to Dubai for this last schedule by mid August.
Also, just last week John Abraham was spotted in the city and had lost tons of weight! The makers decided to give him a lean look for which the actor shed a lot of his muscles to make the fights with SRK look believable. John’s role as the antagonist is of a sly, street-smart terrorist and the team was clear on not giving him the usual bulked up appearance against SRK.
SRK and Salman Khan fans are also super excited to see the two come together on the silver screen, even if it’s just as a cameo! It was indeed a heartwarming gesture for both to agree to do cameos in each other’s upcoming films. While Salman Khan has already shot for his cameo in ‘Pathan’, we now hear that SRK is also set to shoot his scenes soon in ‘Tiger 3’. Interestingly, both films are being helmed by the Yash Raj Films banner.
‘Pathan’ is easily one of the most anticipated films as Shah Rukh Khan returns to movies after almost a 3 year hiatus, his last release being the unsuccessful ‘Zero’ in 2018. The film also brings together the hit pair of SRK and Deepika for the 4th time after Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year. As for Deepika, she was last seen in the highly acclaimed Meghna Gulzar film ‘Chhapaak’, alongside Vikrant Massey. On the work front, apart from Pathan, she has Fighter, the yet-untitled Shakun Batra film, The Intern’s Hindi remake with Amitabh Bachchan, ’83, Mahabharata and Nag Ashwin’s Project K in the pipeline. Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathan’ is slated for an Eid 2022 release.
