OTT Major, Netflix‘s maiden Telugu original – Pitta Kathalu is all set to hit the marquee from February 19th. Lakshmi Manchu is playing one of the heroines in the anthology which is the Telugu version of the fame Lust Stories. She plays a narcissistic politician, Swaroopakka in the movie. This happens to be her second OTT project.
“I consider the time I spent shooting for the web series as valuable. I got a chance to work with a young team oozing talent. I am floored by their dedication, creativity, and passion for the craft. In fact, they inspired me very much,” the actress said in an interview.
Lakshmi who is predominantly in Telugu films has did not do a Telugu film after W/O Ram which released in 2017. She appeared only in a Tamil film and a web series – Mrs. Subbalakshmi on Zee5 way back in 2018 and since there is no film or OTT appearance of her. So, this is sort of a comeback for Lakshmi. Pitta Kathalu features other actresses – Shruti Hassan, Eesha Rebba, and Amala Paul in the remaining three bold stories, and the four stories were handled by highly talented directors, Tharun Bhascker, Nandini Reddy, Nag Ashwin, and Sankalp Reddy.
