Mohanlal starrer “Neyyattinkara Gopante Aaraattu” simply called Aaraattu released in theatres on February 18th. After a majestic opening of 3.5 crores, the film failed to impress the critics and became a victim of ignorance.
Regardless, Mohanlal is still the king of the Kerala box office and fans are always excited about his films. So is happening for the OTT release of Aaraattu and one of the fans asked about the release date of the film.
Interestingly, the Amazon Help account secretly announced the release date of the film and even confirmed it.

This is a reminiscence of what Disney+Hotstar did with Akhanda where they simply announced the release date through the help’s account. Needless to say, this is a surprise to the fans and only 4 days are remaining for the film to land on the platform.
This is certainly not a good thing from a marketing perspective as Prime Video has assumed that people will not accept the film on the streaming platform as well.
The film is set in Palakkad village of Kerala where people are still recovering from the catastrophic flood of 2018.
As of now, we can’t say how this marketing tactic turns out for this film, but it is not so normal thing nonetheless.
