It’s been more than two years of being caught in the grip of the pandemic. And the vice-like grip of Covid-19 on humanity refuses to abate. It was in 2020 that Prime Video released an anthology of short stories rooted in the pandemic. Titled ‘Unpaused’, the anthology show told heartwarming stories of hope and affirmation amidst the despair and desolation of the once-in-a-century global event of the Covid-19 pandemic. The show resonated with viewers across demographics, as it captured effectively everything that the pandemic wrought on Indians in particular. Almost two years later, the pandemic and its associated restrictions are still around, and Prime Video is back with ‘Unpaused: Naya Safar’, Season 2 of the show, with a new set of stories that are centred on the pandemic.
‘Unpaused: Naya Safar‘ will again comprise of five short films, like its debut season. The stories will focus on the challenges and difficulties that everyday people faced in the pandemic. The stories will again deliver bracing messages of hope, belief and positivity, just like its predecessor.
Unpaused: Naya Safar brings five stories, each helmed by one of five acclaimed filmmakers, including Nupur Asthana, Ruchir Arun, Shikha Makan, Ayappa KM and Nagraj Manjule.
