Amazon Prime Video has managed to bag yet another Malayalam film to premiere directly on their streaming platform and that film is ‘Kuruthi‘. This Prithviraj starrer has been waiting in the wings for a long time for its chance for a theatrical release, but the current Covid-19 situation is forcing the film producers to go for the OTT route. And when this movie releases next month, Amazon Prime Video and the film’s lead actor, Prithviraj, will be setting OTT records.

Fahadh Faasil became the first actor to have lead four back-to-back Malayalam direct-to-OTT released films (It is likely that he is the first actor to have done so for four back-to-back Indian films).
