The release of Pushpa: The Rise in December last year not only breathed new life in Indian theatres but also emerged as Allu Arjun’s highest-grossing movie. Fans watched Pushpa’s rise in the criminal smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood in the first part. Apart from gaining new recognition as a prominent sandalwood smuggler, he manages to piss off Bhawar Singh Shekhawat (Fahadh Faasil), a police superintendent. Furthermore, he falls in love with Srivalli (Rashmika Mandanna) and marries her. However, the latest rumours about Srivalli losing her life in the sequel are spreading like a wildfire on social media. Will she die? Let’s find out.
Pushpa: The Rise broke numerous box office records upon its release. Audiences loved Allu Arjun‘s performance and his on-screen chemistry with Rashmika Mandanna. And his famous dance step from Srivalli song has a separate fanbase. Since then, fans are desperately waiting for the sequel’s arrival.
There is no denying that Srivalli’s rumoured death has saddened a lot of fans. But they do not have to worry about this drastic scenario as Pushpa producer Y. Ravi Shankar has declared those rumours “trash”.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Shankar said, “This is all nonsense. Until now we didn’t hear the story to be fair and frank, so it’s not like that, and all these are speculations. At this point in time, you write anything on that film, no one knows anything about that, so they believe in it. This is being carried by other websites and TV channels also, but it’s false news.”
Additionally, the producer confirmed that Srivalli would live in the forthcoming sequel. Also, the second part’s shoot will commence in August this year.
Rashmika Mandanna will debut in Hindi cinema through Mission Majnu with Sidharth Malhotra as the protagonist. Plus, she is currently busy filming Pushpa: 2: The Rule, Thalapathy 66, and Animal. Stay tuned for more updates.
