Netflix has snared prolific content creators Raj & DK for a new series, titled ‘Guns And Gulaabs’. Netflix has described it as a crime and comedy series, brimming with all the elements that make Raj & DK’s creations such a compelling watch. For the unversed, Raj & DK are the creators of ‘The Family Man’, arguably, India’s most successful web series in terms of audience love and viewing numbers.
‘Guns And Gulaabs’ will be a crime and comedy thriller, with all the bells and whistles. It will have romance, drama, emotion, action and Raj & DK’s trademark humour, all elements that made The Family Man such a success. Netflix has not revealed the cast of ‘Guns And Gulaabs’ yet. We wonder if it is this project that Rajkummar Rao is collaborating with Raj & DK for. Readers may recall that we’d reported several days ago about Rajkummar Rao being part of Raj & DK’s new project.
There’s also talk that Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh Gourav will be part of Guns And Gulaabs. Dulquer’s OTT debut with Raj & DK was all over social media a few days ago. Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan and Adarsh Gourav in Raj & DK’s Netflix show will be a match made in heaven. We’ll have to wait for official confirmation from Netflix though.
Netflix has described Guns And Gulaabs thus, “Inspired by the misfits of the world, Guns & Gulaabs is a story that depicts love and innocence, set in a world of crime. The series is set to uniquely blend the romance of the 90s with a crime thriller while effortlessly lacing it in humour”.
Guns And Gulaabs is created, directed & produced by Raj & DK. The story and screenplay have been written by frequent collaborator Suman Kumar, along with Raj & DK, & Sumit Arora.
