The highly anticipated movie of the “Bahubali” Helmer, SS Rajamouli‘s “RRR” has finally hit the theatres. “RRR” starring Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Shriya Saran in the pivotal roles has already made it’s mark on the first day of it’s release.
As per the reports of Sacnilk.com, it has made a stupendous job in the first day by already crossing 50+ crores through advance ticket booking. Telugu version alone has garnered a response of around 49 crores in advance booking. Tamil version’s collection also seemed quite promising enough. Hindi version is on a bit low level, little above 7 crores.
According to the Box Office India, after the post-pandemic era, this movie’s opening has been the second-best after “Sooryavanshi”. Reports predict that “RRR” has crossed Akshay Kumar’s “Bachchan Paandey” and Ranveer Singh’s “83” on the starting day collection. But since “Bachchan Paandey’s” show started post afternoon due to Holi, “RRR’s” theatrical opening day can only make it’s comparison with ”83”.
The movie also features Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, thus attracting the Hindi audience, but, according to the Box Office India reports, the Hindu belt has opened in a low rate, especially in Delhi NCR, East Punjab, Kolkata, and neck-to-neck in Mumbai. The reason is most probably the high ticket prices in the multiplexes, that crossed the ticket charges of 83 and Spiderman.
This resulted in people depending on the word of mouth, as only positive reviews will encourage them to watch the movie in theatres. Thus we’ve to wait and watch if this south Indian gem “RRR” can surpass the craze of “Bahubali” till the official digits come in.
