So, here it is! We have the first look of Soundarya Sharma as Roli for the second installment of MX Player original Web series Raktanchal.
Soundarya Sharma herself took to twitter to share the first look of character for the second season of the crime drama. The picture shows her dignified attire inside of a royal palace room.
For those who are unfamiliar with Raktanchal, it is based on the real-life events from the 1980s of Purvanchal, a region in east Uttar Pradesh. The story revolves around Vijay Singh, an anti-hero and Waseem Khan, an arms mafia who are constantly at loggerheads and leading to a series of bloodbaths.
Apart from Soundarya Sharma, Raktanchal features Kranti Prakash Jha as Vijay Singh and Nikitin Dheer as Waseem Khan, along with Chittaranjan Tripathy, Vikram Kochhar, Pramod Pathak, Soundarya Sharma, Ronjini Chakraborty and Daya Shankar Pandey. The series was directed by Ritam Srivastav who is likely to return for directing the second season too. The season 2 will be produced by Shashank Raai, under the banner of Pinaka Studios Pvt. Ltd.
Now to talk about Soundarya Sharma, who earlier featured in Ranchi Diaries, said about her looks in Raktanchal that the makers had some idea on how the character would look; however since she is playing a politician from the 90’s, she also shared her own inputs. As per her, this specific look is created by her and the makers were happy with how the final look turned out.
We are still not sure about the exact release date of Raktanchal season 2 but it will air on MX Player in July as per the reports and with this intriguing first look of Roli aka Soundarya Sharma will leave fans wanting more!
