Popular Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh and ‘Baahubali’ actress Tamannaah Bhatia are set to reportedly star in an upcoming Netflix movie titled ‘Plan A Plan B’ (via Variety). The film is being described as an entertaining, unusual, and coming-of-age romantic comedy and would also feature Poonam Dhillon and Kusha Kapila besides Riteish and Tamannaah.
The film’s plot would ostensibly revolve around two contrasting individuals. The woman’s character is said to be that of a matchmaker who opines that marriage is for everyone excluding herself. While the man in the love story is a successful divorce lawyer who harbours a secret of his own.
The Netflix film is being directed by Shashanka Ghosh who had made his directorial debut way back in the year 2003 with an unconventional film ‘Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II’ and went on helm movies like ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Veere Di Wedding’, and more recently Netflix’s ‘House Arrest’.
Regarding the Netflix film, Shashanka Ghosh had said that: “I am very excited to announce ‘Plan A Plan B’ with Netflix. It is a one-of-a-kind story with unusual characters pitted against each other and a refreshing take on what love entails, tapping into many different emotions. I have thoroughly enjoyed creating this for audiences worldwide on Netflix and I feel the film will definitely resonate with them.”
‘Plan A Plan B’ lead actor Riteish Deshmukh was all praises for the Netflix film’s extraordinary story. Moreover, the film’s lead actress Tamannaah Bhatia too spoke highly of the film’s unique storyline and was impressed with the character that she is portraying in the movie. The film’s precise release details are yet to be confirmed by the makers.
‘Plan A Plan B’ seems to be an interesting addition to the Netflix slate of projects that the streaming giant had previously announced. The upcoming Netflix projects include Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Finding Anamika’, Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Bulbul Tarang’, Jitendra Kumar’s ‘Jaadugar’, R. Madhavan and Surveen Chawla’s ‘Decoupled’, ‘Delhi Crime S2’, Kartik Aaryan‘s ‘Dhamaka’ directed by Ram Madhvani, amongst many more exciting projects.
