There is no other movie to stop RRR‘s current historic run at the box office. SS Rajamouli‘s latest magnum opus is now a “700-crore” monster. As of April 1, it has accumulated more than 700 crores at the global box office. Also, it has become one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time. Its notable theatrical run has chewed up and spit out various other flicks in India. One of them is John Abraham‘s super-soldier project, Attack.
Lakshya Raj Anand’s directional collected nearly 3-3.25 crores on Saturday, taking its two-day heave up to 6-6.25 crores approx. On the other hand, Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer collected stockpiled nearly 17 crores in its account on the same day. The film’s Hindi version presently stands at 162 crores.
The above-mentioned figures are enough to give us a glimpse of Attack’s current condition at the box office. Its horrible performance will indeed force Abraham to think more carefully about his future projects. The actor’s last film, Satyameva Jayate 2, ended up torturing its viewers. And the same can be said about Attack as well. Despite treasuring amazing action sequences and small runtime, it ended up disappointing the majority of people in theatres.
Abraham’s forthcoming projects, Ek Villain Returns and Pathaan, may stabilise his broken acting career. The former has Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria apart from the leading man with Mohit Suri returning as helmer. And Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming YRF action thriller has already become one of the biggest buzzes in Bollywood.
Both RRR and Attack are currently running in theatres. The latter has John Abraham, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jacqueline Fernandez in its cast.
