RRR Trailer: Rajamouli’s Action-packed Visual Spectacle

The theatrical trailer of RRR is available for streaming now. As promised, the trailer is loaded with heavy duty action shots featuring Ram Charan who plays Alluri Seetharama Raju, and Jr NTR who plays Komaram Bheem. There are a handful of Rajamouli-mark elevation episodes spread evenly across the trailer. The larger than life setup appears to be one of the main USPs of the periodic action drama.

The trailer starts off with a heavy-duty action block that showcases Jr NTR fighting a tiger. This is a goosebump-inducing one for Nandamuri fans. This also hints at the tribal warfare, which is set in motion by oppression from the British. The conflict point between Ram Charan (in disguise as a police officer) and Jr NTR aka Komaram Bheem would be interesting to watch on the big screens. We can expect Rajamouli to extract utmost amout of drama from this track.

Both Jr NTR and Ram Charan look sharp in all their avatars. The narrative is entirely focused on them and understandably so. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Olivia Morris, and others are seen for very brief moments so there is nothing much to say about them for now.

The trailer is infused with a new high once Ram Charan turns Alluri Seetharama Raju. This entry shot is a dream-like one. Then start the real proceedings as Alluri and Bheem start a joint revolt. This will form the crux of the film and it most certainly looks exciting. The patriotism angle is used as the undercurrent element and it is never bought onto the foreground.

While the VFX is annoyingly tacky when compared to the Baahubalo standards, Keeravani’s soundtrack and Senthil’s visual composition are of elite quality. The action blocks are set on a lavish scale and we get to see the grandeur of the project in virtually every shot.

The trailer of RRR has all the necessary ingredients to set the perfect stage for the film which is on 7th January.
