There are just ten days left for the release of Ajay Devgn starrer upcoming war film ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’. The film is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak war of 1971. It follows how, in the face of insurmountable odds, IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik and his team courageously reconstructed the IAF airbase located at Bhuj that he was in charge of, with the help of 300 women from a local village. The eagerly anticipated film is being touted as the untold story of the greatest battle ever fought.
The makers of the film have released the second official trailer earlier today. The previous trailer had a runtime of 3 minutes 24 seconds while today’s trailer has a much shorter runtime of just over a minute.
The trailer starts off with a fluttering Pakistani flag and a background voice saying the words: “Enter from Kutch. Attack on Bhuj airways. Annex whatever maximum possible area you can. After that, we’ll drink tea in Delhi.” In the next few frames, we see Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt in action. Subsequently, the trailer shows never seen before VFX-driven aerial war action scenes coupled with magnificently crafted ground warfare battle scenes and hand combat action.
The trailer ends on a high note when the same gentleman, who spoke overconfidently in the beginning, is served tea at the same place where he initially was. Along with the running trailer, the following inspiring words are written on the screen: “We rose. We sacrificed. We retaliated. This Independence Week. Bhuj.” It is pretty evident from the trailer that ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ would certainly be a visual delight innately ingrained with patriotic fervor and intense performances.
‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ will start streaming on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform from August 13, 2021. It is helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and features Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, amongst other talented performers.
