Sheeba Chadha starrer highly acclaimed film ‘Rabia & Olivia’ is finally coming to OTT in India on Disney+ Hotstar. Helmed by Shadab Khan, ‘Rabia & Olivia’ will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 24th February, 2023.
‘Rabia & Olivia’ follows the story of Rabia, A 25 year old Indian Muslim girl, has migrated to Canada illegally, and seeks refugee status. At a very young age, Rabia lost her father in an accident in India.
On the other hand is Olivia, a nine year old Canadian girl who lost her mother with cancer and now lives with her father. Olivia suffers from night terror attack disorder. In desperate need of employment, Rabia takes a job as Olivia’s caretaker, and treats Olivia with love affection and compassion as she firmly believes in “Love is more powerfull than medicines”. The story unfolds and with twists and turns with an an amalgamation of eastern and western culture.
Apart from Sheeba Chadha, ‘Rabia & Olivia’ stars Nayab Khan and Helena Prinzen Klague in prominent roles. Written and directed by Shadab Khan, the film has won 13 international awards and and has received tremendous appreciation at international film festivals.
