Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Daughter, Sushmitha is turning into a producer. She is producing her maiden web-series titled Shootout at Alair on their Gold Box Entertainments along with her husband, Vishnu Prasad. Anand Ranga is directing this Web-Series which is based on true events involving a cop and criminals. Anand Ranga directed Oy! with Siddharth and Shamili more than a decade ago.
Former Miss Hyderabad, Nandini Rai is playing the female lead in this movie. She is paired opposite Teja Kakumanu. She will be seen as a lower-middle-class Hyderabadi Muslim girl named Nafisa. To keep the character authentic, she did not wear makeup at all. She also spoke Dakhani for her character.
The Web Series will be premiered on Zee5 – the Digital Arm of Zee Network on December 25th as a Christmas Special. It will be an eight-episode web series is shot in the backdrop of Hyderabad’s Old City. This is the second web series of Srikanth after Zee5’s Chadarangam.
Rumors are that it is based on the alleged Fake encounter of Terrorist Vikaruddin. Recently, a political party in Hyderabad warned the makers of dire consequences if they tried to distort the story in favor of the Police even as it is confirmed as a fake encounter.
