Sumanth is the latest addition to Dulquer Salmaan’s forthcoming romantic movie, Sita Ramam. Apart from these two gentlemen, Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Mandanna are also a part of this highly anticipated project. The makers have revealed the first look poster and the character teaser that show Sumanth as Brigadier Vishnu Sharma. The actor looks fierce and classy in his character reveal.
Vyjayanthi Movies shared the first look of Sumanth via its Twitter handle today. Aswini Dutt is producing the film under the same banner. On the other hand, this project is written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The helmer last sat on the director’s chair for Sharwanand and Sai Pallavi’s Padi Padi Leche Manasu. The film opened to mixed reviews and flopped badly at the box office.
Sita Ramam is Dulquer’s third release this year. Brinda’s Hey Sinamika and Rosshan Andrrews’ Salute were his last projects. The former ended up being a critical disappointment. Although, his portrayal of S. I. Aravind Karunakaran in Salute received strong praise. The film also marked Diana Penty’s Malayalam debut.
Vishal Chandrasekhar handled the music composition for the film. The first single titled “Oh Sita Hey Rama” came out in May. And the duo of Shreyaas Krishna and P. S. Vinod is responsible for the cinematography work.
Sita Ramam has been shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam by the makers. The film will hit the theatres on August 5. Stay tuned for more updates.
