Sonu Sood-Farah Khan Bringing Back Qawwali With This Iconic 90s Song!

Farah Khan is one person in Bollywood that has always grown. Over the years, her love, her passion for films was beautifully showcased in the movies that she directed. Besides direction, Farah Khan will always be one of Bollywood’s most loved choreographers. Farah Khan is one person, who has given some of the most iconic hook steps to some of the greatest Bollywood songs and item numbers. Farah Khan is, without a doubt, one of the most favorite directors and choreographers for many of the Bollywood actors. Now, this director-cum-choreographer has a new project in her hand.

News is out that Farah Khan and one of her best buddies Sonu Sood, who throughout India is now known as the Saviour, are collaborating for a fun new project. The news is Sonu Sood and Farah Khan will be working on the remake of this amazing 90s song that has people hooked even now. Altaf Raja’s super famous “Tum Toh Thehre Pardesi ” is getting revamped. The song will be reworked by Altaf Raja himself along with singer Tony Kakkar. The main focus of the song is to re-introduce qawwali.

The song will be shot in Chandigarh and will see Sonu Sood as a farmer turned cop. The song will be released on July 30th, which is also Sonu Sood’s birthday. The shoot for the song should have already been completed but the incessant rain has played a spoilsport in it. The shoot is said to start soon and will be quickly shot within 2-3 days. With a mix of urban and rural settings put together, the song and video will definitely be a unique one to witness.

This is not the first time Sonu Sood and Farah Khan will be working together. Both of these great personalities have worked together before on films like “Happy New Year” and Jacky Chan’s “Kungfu Yoga”. The two have last year come together to help the nation during the Covid crisis in all the way possible. Sonu Sood is being hailed as the messiah for his contribution in the pandemic last year and this year, during the deadly oxygen crisis due to Covid.

As Sonu Sood says, the song is definitely one such song that everyone has heard at least once, the tunes are so catchy that it will get stuck to your head for a long time. This was “the” break-up for a long, long time. Now, the question is that today’s generation has a weird feeling towards reprised songs and especially the ones 90s kids were attached to. It is still questionable at this point as to how the song will turn out to be and how well the listeners and viewers will receive it. But all these can only be decided on the 30th of July when the song and music video drops.
