SONY Pictures is collaborating with magician Jason Latimer to create a new series called Impossible Science: At Home. The American World Champion of Magic already had a channel called Impossible Science on YouTube, where he performed tricks and illusions for his online audience, educating them on the science and techniques behind some of the magic he performs.
Impossible Science: At Home will also be a YouTube channel, where Jason hopes to inspire curiosity in both children and adults alike by performing experiments and illusions with sound and light. He will also be giving lessons on various topics of science which will feature celebrity guests who will come online through Zoom. With the stage name LATIMER, he is most well known for his Bending Light and Shaping Water illusions.
Jason has forever been launching science festivals to get more and more children (and teenagers) interested in science and illusion. In 2015, he was made the Curator for the Impossible Science for the Fleet of Impossible Science Center in San Diego, California. Jason has co-hosted Science Channel’s series SciJinks with Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki. He has also appeared on BBC One’s The Magicians in the United Kingdom and is one of the judges with Penn & Teller on SyFy Channel’s hit magic competition Wizard Wars.
The series and channel Impossible Science: At Home is being produced through WonderFirst by Jason Latimer and Dustin Gould in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television. Stacey Crawford will be the new web series producer.
