Young Telugu actor Suhas scored a hit with Colour Photo, an Aha Video original later last year. Now, Suhas is awaiting the release of Family Drama, his second consecutive film to head the OTT way. Sony Liv has bagged the direct to digital rights of Family Drama and the same was confirmed the other day. The OTT platform has announced that Family Drama will be premiering on the 29th of October.
“Here’s the glimpse at the story of a family you’ve never seen or heard about. #FamilyDramaOnSonyLIV. Family Drama premieres on Oct 29.” Sony Liv’s Twitter handle wrote as they unveiled the trailer of the film and also announced the premieres date.
Family Drama is touted to be a dark drama with a hint of comedy. The trailer implies that the film has a peculiar plot. Suhas plays a psycho killer in the film which is being directed by Meher Tej. Family Drama has Suhas, Pooja Kiran, Teja Kasarapu, and others in important roles.
Sony Liv has been lining up a series of Telugu films including Aakashavaani, Vivaha Bhojanambu, Priyuralu, and others in the recent post. The OTT platform is eyeing a sizeable viewer base in the twin Telugu states with these direct to OTT releases.
However, neither Suhas nor Sony Liv has started promoting Family Drama. It is high time that the makers commence whirlwind promotions at the earliest if the film is to catch the attention of the Telugu OTT audience ahead of its digital premieres on Sony Liv.
