Last night Mollywood superstar, Prithviraj Sukumaran dropped an ominous picture on his twitter account which featured the words “26 Jan 2021 10:10 am” which was captioned with the words “stay tuned”. True to his word, at exactly 10:10 am on Republic Day, the superstar dropped a brilliant teaser promo for his upcoming film Jana Gana Mana. Check out the featured promotional video at the bottom of this article.
The 4K resolution promo for Jana Gana Mana starts off in the interview room of a police station, with a camera and tape recorder set to record the upcoming interview/ interrogation. A police officer closes the door to the outside, keeping the chained criminal and a few other police locked in-doors. Suraj Venjaramoodu (from the recent hit The Great Indian Kitchen) is the investigating police officer who is also leading the interrogation while Prithviraj is the criminal handcuffed to the table.
We are not going to talk about the Jana Gana Mana trailer because it would very likely reduce the effect of the promotional video; instead check it out for yourselves. The teaser doesn’t give much in the way of dialogue but the line “ “In matters of conscience, the law of the majority has no place” – Mahatma Gandhi.” is a very significant line shown in the trailer, which coincidentally is the caption for the promo as shown on Prithviraj’s official twitter account.
We are not given any other information regarding its release besides the year – 2021. But since the trailer is out already, hopefully this means that the film will be ready to release soon. The chilling trailer sets the tone for Jana Gana Mana and it looks like it will be some kind of spy/ espionage thriller. We await the film with much hype and anticipation.
