Top Tamil star Suriya welcomed Aditi Shankar, daughter of acclaimed director Shankar, to the cast of his new home production, ‘Viruman’. The film will mark the film debut of the pretty, young aspiring actress. Suriya announced the news on his official social media handles, along with the first glimpse of the film. Viruman is produced by Suriya and wife Jyotika, under their production banner, 2D Entertainment. The film is jointly produced by Rajsekar Pandian.
‘Viruman’ will star Suriya’s actor brother Karthi in the lead role. The film will be directed by Muthaiaya, and its music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Raj Kiran, Soori and Prakash Raj are also part of the cast of Viruman. The film is said to be a rural drama, with family values as its centrepiece.
Aditi Shankar is the younger daughter of S. Shankar. His elder daughter is a doctor. Aditi thus surprised everyone with her decision to enter films, as well as with her attractive and beauteous looks. She looks dazzling on the poster of Viruman that introduces her to the world.

Shankar posted a tweet on his own Twitter, expressing his gratitude towards Suriya and Jyotika for giving his daughter the opportunity. He praised the duo’s 2D Entertainment as a production house that always delivers quality movies. He added that Aditi comes fully prepared to make her debut, and that cinema lovers will shower his daughter with love.
