The Big Fat List Of All Hindi Films’ Release Dates In Theatres

Bollywood filmmakers have breathed a sigh of relief ever since the announcement of the reopening of theatres in Maharashtra. The announcement has given renewed hope to the producer and actor fraternity, not to say to theatres and multiplex owners.

A slew of Bollywood film releases have been announced after Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray declared that theatres in the very important film market will reopen from October 22.

Here are all the films that have been announced up till now –

Sooryavanshi – 4th November 2021

It’s a Diwali release for Sooryavanshi, Rohit Shetty’s exciting cop universe film, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, with cameos by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.

Bunty Aur Babli – 19th November 2021

Yash Chopra Films’ Bunty Aur Babli reboot, starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh, arrives this November in theatres.

Satyameva Jayate 2 – 26th November 2021

Satyamev Jayate 2, starring John Abraham, premieres in theatres on 26th November.

Tadap – 3rd December 2021

Tadap, the acting debut of Ahan Shetty, Suniel Shetty’s son, also starring Tara Sutaria and helmed by Milan Luthria, arrives in theatres on 3rd December this year

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui – 10th December 2021

Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor’s romantic comedy film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui marks the return to direction of Abhishek Kapoor, and releases in theatres on 10th December.

83 The Film – 24th December

Director Kabir Khan’s pet project on the Indian cricket team’s historic World Cup win in 1983, starring Ranveer Singh as then skipper Kapil Dev, premieres in theatres this Christmas, on 24th December.

Pushpa The Rise – 24th December 2021

The first part of Allu Arjun’s ambitious crime drama of a Red Sanders smuggler Pushpa movie part 1 hits theatres this Christmas, on 24th December

Jersey – 31st December, 2021

Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey, the remake of Nani’s Telugu hit, arrives in theatres this New Year’s eve, on 31st December.

Gangubai Kathiawadi, 6th January, 2022

Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed Gangubai Kathiawadi, which will see Alia Bhatt play a hardened brothel owner, hits theatres at the start of the new year of 2022, on 6th January.

Radhe Shyam – 14th January 2022

Radhe Shyam, Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s pan-India romantic drama, arrives in theatres on 14th January, 2022, that is on Sankranti day.

Prithviraj – 21st January, 2022

Yash Raj Films’ ambitious take on the Rajput King Prithviraj Chauhan, directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and starring Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan, Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Prithviraj arrives in theatres on 21st January, 2022

Attack – 26th January, 2022

The John Abraham action thriller, co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh, locks the coveted Republic Day 2022 release date. Attack arrives in theatres on 26th January, 2022.

Laal Singh Chaddha – 14th February

Aamir Khan’s magnum opus Laal Singh Chaddha, adapted from Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, arrives in theatres on Valentine’s Day, 14th February, 2022

Jayeshbhai Jordaar – 25th February 2022

Another Yash Raj Films product, Ranveer Singh’s social comedy Jayeshbhai Jordaar hits theatres on 25th February, 2022.

Bachchan Pandey – 4th March, 2022

Akshay Kumar’s quirky crime comedy Bachchan Pandey, also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Arshad Warsi Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez, hits theatres on 4th March, 2022

Shamshera – 18th March, 2022

A Yash Raj Films product, Shamshera will see young ‘un Ranbir Kapoor return to screens after a gap of four years. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor, with Sanjay Dutt portraying the antagonist. Shamshera arrives in theatres on 18th March, 2022.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – 25th March, 2022

The reboot of Akshay Kumar’s original film, Bhool Bhulaiya 2, starring Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani, premieres in theatres on 25th March, 2022.

Rocketry – The Nambi Effect – 1st April, 2022

R Madhavan passion film on the real-life saga of eminent Indian scientist, Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was accused of espionage, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect hits theatre screens on 1st April, 2022.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 – 14th April, 2022

The much-awaited sequel to the blockbuster KGF, Yash and Sanjay Dutt starrer KGF Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, hits screens on 14th April, 2022.

Bhediya – 14th April, 2022

Bhediya is yet another horror comedy film from the Stree team of director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan. It stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Bhediya releases in theatres on 14th April, 2022.

Salaar – 14th April, 2022

Prabhas’ action thriller film Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, has a release date of 14th April, 2022. This is likely to change, however, since it clashes with KGF Chapter 2 from the same team.

Heropanti 2 – 29th April, 2022

The next iteration in the Heropanti film series, the Tiger Shroff – Tara Sutaria starrer directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, Heropanti 2 hits theatres on 29th April, 2022.

Mayday – 29th April 2022

Action thriller Mayday, directed and produced by Ajay Devgn, and starring Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Al-Mamun Al Siyam and Rakul Preet Singh, arrives in theatres on 29th April 2022.

Maidaan- 3rd June, 2022

A biographical sports film, starring Ajay Devgn as football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim, Maidaan releases in theatres on 3rd June, 2022.

Ek Villain Returns – 8th July, 2022

The Ek Villain sequel, Ek Villain Returns stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria, and premieres in theatres on 8th July 2022.

Raksha Bandhan – 11th August, 2022

Social comedy Raksha Bandhan, an Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer, produced by Anand L Rai, hits theatres on 11th August 2022.

Adipurush – 11th August, 2022

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, and shot in Telugu as well as Hindi, it stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, and is set to release in theatres on 11th August 2022.

Vikram Vedha – 30th September 2022

The Hindi remake of hit Tamil film Vikram Vedha, it stars Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, is directed by Neeraj Pandey, and will hit theatres on 30th September 2022.

Ram Setu – 24th October 2022

Akshay Kumar’s ambitious Ram Setu, where he plays an archaeologist, and co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha, has snapped up the coveted Diwali release date for 2022. Ram Setu premieres in theatres on 24th October 2022.

Ganapath Part 1 – 23rd December 2022

Tiger Shroff’s futuristic action thriller Ganapath will release in two parts. Ganapath Part 1, starring Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon in lead roles, will release in theatres on 23rd December 2022.

Fighter – 26th January 2023

The final film in this list, Fighter, an action movie brings together Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles for the first time, and is set to hit theatres on 26th January 2023, grabbing the coveted Republic Day 2023.
