The Binged Guide To 15 Films Releasing Directly On OTT In Coming Days!

It is a confusing time for digital viewers. Tons of films are making their way to the OTT space in the coming days. Every OTT platform has announced a bunch of new, direct to digital releases.

In such a scenario, viewers have a hard time remembering which movie is releasing on what date and on which platform – it’s a task to keep track of them all.

So we at Binged have compiled all upcoming OTT releases in one single list. Bookmark this list, to use as a handy guide to refer to and instantly know which movie is streaming where and on what date.

We will update this list as new releases are added to the slate of OTT releases. (Note: this is a list of only theatrical releases coming to OTT or direct to digital releases. It does not include original films of streaming platforms)

Malik – Malayalam film, 14th July, 10 pm, Amazon Prime Video

Fahadh Faasil‘s gripping slow-burn crime thriller film, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. Also stars Nimisha Sajayan and Joju George.

Toofaan – Hindi film, 15th July, 10 pm, Amazon Prime Video

Farhan Akhtar‘s boxing spectacle film, directed by his Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. Also stars Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal.

Vaazhl – Tamil film, 16th July, SonyLIV

Directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman who earlier made the cult film Aruvi, it is a unique slice-of-life film with new faces

Chuzhal – Malayalam film, 17th July, Neestream

It is a thriller revolving around a group of boys that go on a road trip and encounter haunting elements in the resort they stay in. Written and directed by Biju Maani, the film stars Jaffar Idukki, RJ Nilja, Abin Mary, Sanju Prabhakaran, Gazal Ahamed and Sreenath.

Narappa – Telugu film, 20th July, Amazon Prime Video

The Venkatesh starrer is the Telugu remake of Dhanush’s hit Tamil film, Asuran. Directed by Sreekanth Addala, it also stars Priyamani, Nassar and Rao Ramesh.

Ikkat – Kannada film, 21st July, Amazon Prime Video

A comedy film, it depicts the travails of a dysfunctional couple forced to live together in the lockdown, along with an unwelcome intruder. Directed by Esham and Haseen Khan, the film stars Nagabhushana and Bhoomi Shetty in the lead roles.

Sarpatta Parambarai – Tamil film, 22nd July, Amazon Prime Video

It is an explosive period drama, set in the backdrop of boxing. It is directed by Pa. Ranjit, and is headlined by Arya.

Hungama 2 – Hindi film, 23rd July, Disney Plus Hotstar

The spiritual sequel of the blockbuster film Hungama, this one’s also a laugh riot, directed by Priyadarshan and starring Meezaan Jaffrey, Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Pranitha Subhash, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Ashutosh Rana.

14 Phere – Hindi film, 23rd July, ZEE5 Premium

A comic caper revolving around the shenanigans of the Indian marriage scenario, it stars Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda, and is directed by Devanshu Kumar.

Jolt – English film, 23rd July, Amazon Prime Video

An action comedy, it is about a bouncer with an anger management problem, who goes on a revenge-fueled rampage after the murder of the first man she falls for. It is directed by Tanya Wexler and stars Kate Beckinsale, Bobby Cannavale, Laverne Cox, Stanley Tucci and Jai Courtney.

Judas And The Black Messiah – English film, 25th July, Amazon Prime Video

A historical drama that documents the betrayal of Black Panthers Party leader Fred Hampton by FBI informant, William O’Neal. The critically acclaimed film stars Daniel Kaluuya, Lakeith Stanfield, Jesse Plemons and Dominique Fishback among others.

Mimi – Hindi film, 30th July, Netflix, Jio Cinema

The film centres on the concept of surrogacy, and how it wreaks havoc in the life of young unmarried Mimi. The film stars Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi, Manoj Pahwa and Supriya Pathak, and is directed by Laxman Utekar.

Bhuj: The Pride Of India – Hindi film, 13th August, Disney Plus Hotstar

A gripping patriotic war drama, set in the backdrop of the 1971 India – Pakistan war. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, it boasts a strong ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, Pranitha Subhash and Ihana Dhillo.

Beckett – English film, 13th August, Netflix

A gritty thriller, it centres on how one man’s idyllic vacation becomes a desperate race for survival as rogue elements close in on him. The film is directed by Ferdinando Cito Filomarino, and stars John David Washington, Alicia Vikander, Vicky Krieps, Boyd Holbrook, Daphne Alexander, among others.

Maestro – Telugu film, 13th August, Disney Plus Hotstar

It is the Telugu remake of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bollywood megahit, Andhadhun. It is directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, and features Nithiin, Nabha Natesh, Naresh and Tamanna Bhatia in crucial roles.
