The wait is getting longer and longer and there seems to be no end to it at this point. We are talking about the trailer for The Family Man Season 2 that was to be released earlier this month but is nowhere to be found. The much anticipated Manoj Bajpayee starrer series will be coming out on the 12th of February, which is next month. We have just a few days for this month to end and the month of February to start, but the trailer is nowhere.
Recently with the release of “Tandav”, Amazon Prime Video was in everyone’s view. With cases and FIRs being filed, Prime Video was embroiled in a controversy that felt like it was only going south. The viewers didn’t know what to do other than wait for the trailer, they were MIA for 2 days straight, which made people wonder as to what is actually up. As the wait for it prolonged, the meme fest about the wait for the trailer began. Twitter was filled with them, one after the other people were coming up with memes to somehow relieve the pain of the “missing trailer” situation.
As Amazon Prime Video came back so did the hope but there was still no trailer. It felt like they are literally teasing us with each passing moment and at this point it only feels like that. Amazon Prime Video India, put up a different Instagram bio this time and it says, “bhaag trailer, dekhte hain kitni door bhaagta hai”. It’s super cool though, at this point that they are taking up humour to neutralize things. Just a few days back, they were being hurled with all sorts of language and now they are continuously posting something that will make you feel like, “what is actually happening?”
The use of humor seems like a smart marketing point and also the idea of the “missing trailer”, but the question is how long will we be teased. Amazon Prime Video, we are waiting.
This season though seems to be on fire already, we have South Indian superstar Samantha Akkineni making her debut in OTT with The Family Man Season 2. Apart from that Manoj Bajpayee will be leading it, with Sharib Hashmi by his side and Priyamani along with others. The Season 2 is helmed by the Season 1 makers Raj and DK.
