The Flash remains one of the top most viewed shows for The CW in the recent past years and one of the most loved superhero shows in recent times. With the show completing it’s 6th season earlier this year. Not much has changed for the Scarlet Speedster.
But due to the coronavirus pandemic, the makers had to cut short the season by upto 3 episodes reportedly. Seeing the restrictions in shooting, the fans were left at bay with no news regarding the returning of several of the Arrowverse shows. But as things started coming back to normal or should we say a new normal, Fans were treated with a cheerful news of the beginning of production of season 7.
Season 6 of ‘The Flash’ saw major moments in the Arrowverse. With the much awaited crisis finally arrived where Barry or “The Flash” was supposed to die. But the events unfolded in a different manner and even though “Flash” died, this didn’t save the world from crisis. Eventually after crisis was done, it lead to several repercussions in the timeline.
We saw the entry of Eva McCullough as the Mirror Master who traps Iris and Kamilla in her Mirror World and send the imposter versions of both into the real world to take their place. Season 7 will wind up this story arc in the earlier part of it’s run, with the role of Bloodwork also coming to play in this arc.
It was being said that if everything was normal, season 6 of The Flash was about to end with a cliffhanger including Eobard Thawne aka Reverse Flash! But then what can we say..
CW recently announced the return of all their Arrowverse shows and The Flash will be arriving in the month of February 2021 with the date being 23rd. Meaning that the show will take it’s usual night time of Tuesday from 23rd February 2021 on CW.
Well this comes as bittersweet news for the fans who are left wanting for the much awaited seventh season of the show. With several storylines including Godspeed and Reverse Flash coming into play, it’s a shame that we have to wait such long.
