Netflix recently dropped the final trailer of gangster drama, The Irishman, thus upping the ante for when the movie finally releases on the streaming platform.
The Irishman is a crime thriller about a hitman, Frank Sheeran (Robert De Niro), recounting his life and times working for the Bufalino crime family. Produced and directed by Martin Scorsese, and written by Steven Zaillian, the movie brims with all the elements of a quintessential Scorsese masterpiece.
The Irishman had been released in select theatres in a handful of countries, but is up for a wider release on Netflix. Starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Anna Paquin and Jesse Plemons in pivotal roles, the movie is a slow burn that grips you in its complex narrative, never to let go until the end of its quite lengthy 3.5-hour runtime.
