While fans rejoiced at the prospect of Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso teaming up at the end of Season 3 of the Netflix series ‘Cobra Kai’ to face their common adversary, John Kreese.
In yet another development during the cliffhanger climax of the third season of the celebrated Netflix television series ‘Cobra Kai’, John Kreese made a call to ‘An Old Friend’ while looking at an old photograph. The person on the other end of the phone was being speculated as Terry Silver (a villainous character played by Thomas Ian Griffith in ‘The Karate Kid Part III’).
And now, all the speculations have been laid to rest when Netflix recently took to Twitter to announce the confirmation of the return of Terry Silver for ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 4. The post was marked with the words “Have patience. He’s just getting everything rolling. Terry Silver returns to the dojo for Cobra Kai Season 4”.
Along with the post, a video was attached showing a man with a ponytail (apparently Terry Silver’s character) say with a voiceover “A man can’t stand, he can’t fight. A man can’t breathe, he can’t fight. A man can’t see, he can’t fight. Extreme situations require extreme measures.”
The widely admired web series ‘Cobra Kai’ is based on the cult ‘The Karate Kid’ films, the first of which released in the year 1984, which was followed by three sequels and a remake (starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith).
The first season of ‘Cobra Kai’ opened with the now grown-up Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprising their roles of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, respectively. The nostalgic series was an instant hit with the now grown-up 1980s and 90s kids, besides being loved by the next-gen audiences as well.
In addition to the lead characters of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, the series has brought back several films’ characters like those of John Kreese (major villain played by Martin Kove) and Ali Mills (Lawrence and LaRusso’s former love interest played by Elisabeth Shue). And now, the show’s fans are looking forward to Terry Silver’s character (played by Thomas Ian Griffith) making a grand comeback in the highly anticipated fourth season of ‘Cobra Kai’.
Season 4 of ‘Cobra Kai’ has reportedly wrapped production, however, there has been no announcement by Netflix regarding the exact release date of the upcoming season. We can expect its release later this year. Meanwhile, you can watch the recent Twitter post by Netflix (attached below).
