Secret Invasion has turned out as a more risk-taking and daring series to emerge out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe compared to the rest of the franchise’s shows. All the episodes have offered several jaw-dropping moments to fans, including Maria Hill’s demise in Episode 1 and G’iah’s shocking death in the last episode. These moments have certainly established Secret Invasion as one of the bloodiest projects to come out of the MCU’s arsenal. G’iah’s death was more shocking than Hill’s, as no one expected her to die in the middle of the season. And we should not expect Marvel to waste a fantastic talent like Emilia Clarke. There is room for the actor to continue appearing in the show. Though, she may play a different character this time.
Gravik shot G’iah as she transformed into a mole for her father, Talos, enabling him and Fury to stop the rebel Skrulls’ plan to blow up a United Nations aircraft. But this does not mean Clarke’s journey in the MCU has ended.
Before Secret Invasion’s release on Disney+, many fans strongly believed Clarke would play Abigail Brand in the show. G’iah’s shocking demise opens the door for the actor to rejoin the MCU as a human character. Talos’ daughter must have taken the appearance of someone before doing missions for Gravik. And that someone could be none other than Abigail Brand.
Abigail Brand is a popular character from Marvel comics. She played a crucial, brief role in the Secret Invasion storyline in the comics. She saved Reed Richards from the Skrulls, then helped him develop a device capable of detecting the green-coloured shapeshifters.
